Julia Dziuk, President and founder of Pigmenta Permanent Cosmetics, received her clinical esthetics license in Hamburg, Germany in 1986 and practiced as an esthetician throughout college as she studied business. After graduating, she opened and ran her own spa. In 1993 Julia was introduced to the art of permanent cosmetics and started to offer her services an as permanent make up artist until deciding to relocate to the U.S. in 1995.
Julia was quickly hired as a Technical Director of Esthetics at Blaine, a renowned group of cosmetology schools in Massachusetts, where she managed three locations and many instructors. Eight years later, she was appointed Cosmetology Department Chairman at North Shore Community College, overseeing the entire cosmetology, esthetics, and nail programs.
She created Pigmenta in 2004 and added a list of long lasting cosmetic and medical tattooing services to her repertoire to meet client demands. Julia and her team also hold licenses across Massachusetts and provide flexibility to clients by offering multiple locations in the Greater Boston. The Flagship Clinic in Boston and the clinic and Pigmenta Academy in Danvers. Pigmenta also has a franchise location in Worcester, MA and two other locations opening soon in Hyannis, MA Wellsley, MA and Greenwich, CT.

To date Julia continues to educate professionals in the beauty, tattooing and medical industry and offers a 100 hour Softap/Pigmenta Fundamentals Permanent Makeup and Microblading course as well as other innovative classes as her goal is to past on the skill set to the next generation of beauty professionals. In fact, most practitioners in the Boston area have been trained or have apprenticed under Julia.

Rebecca Ndawana, General Manager and Director of Enrollment and Student Affairs
Rebecca is a graduate of Suffolk University in Boston, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Business. She also holds an Advanced Esthetics Certification from Catherine Hinds Institute Of Esthetics in Woburn.
Always the self-starter, she was very involved on campus during her time at Suffolk University, and also managed to snag several internships in the Public Relations, Communication and Event Planning field in addition to interning with local Boston fashion designers and fashion companies such as Karmaloop and Rue La La. These experiences while still in college enabled her to work independently as a freelancer right after graduation.
It was her interest and passion for the beauty industry that first brought Rebecca to Pigmenta as a temp front desk associate. Her ability to work in high pressure environments where accuracy and attention to detail are essential combined with a firm foundation in communications and customer service enabled her to quickly rise through the ranks to her current role as Pigmenta’s General Manager. She currently is responsible for day to day operations, managing customer service, staff, and Franchise Technicians. Rebecca is also responsible for overseeing the onboarding and set up of new Franchise Owners in regards to communications and technology. She is also responsible for day to day operations of the academy and managing students enrollments and the apprentice program.
Amy Burns, Technician and Instructor
Amy is a graduate of Toni & Guy Hairdressing academy where she completed the thousand hour program and received her license in Cosmetology. Throughout her time there she took multiple courses and trainings on product knowledge, color theory, and makeup application. Always willing to jump in where she could, she managed to land a spot as a makeup artist for local clothing designer Conrad Lamour and participated in local charity events as well.
Shortly after graduating Toni & Guy Amy continued her journey in the beauty world at Sephora , where she has now been for five years. In her time there she has preformed numerous makeovers and has helped many clients with application tips. Continuously being picked to participate in company trainings, Amy wanted to extend her knowledge for beauty more.
Amy started out as a student with Pigmenta and then proceeded to complete the apprenticeship program. She is Julia’s executive assistant and is also offering services at our HQ locations in Boston and Danvers. Amy is a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.
Amy’s other role at Pigmenta HQ is to assist in teaching incoming students the Fundamentals Permanent Makeup Course PMU101 at the Pigmenta Academy. She also the Instructor the 1-on-1 model sessions in the Apprenticeship Program to help students improve on their skills with the Pigmenta technique.
Narcisa Tavarez, Instructor
Narcisa Tavarez has a great passion for the beauty industry. In 2000 she studied esthetics under Julia Dziuk at The Blaine Beauty School and earned her esthetician’s license.
In 2013 Narcisa became interested in Permanent Makeup and reached out to Julia to learn under her tutelage at Pigmenta. Narcisa became a certified technician in Permanent Makeup and apprenticed under Julia for two years. After that she started working as a technician for the Pigmenta Brand in 2016. From 2019-2021 she also provided Permanent Makeup services to clients at The Katia Day Spa in Westboro.
Narcisa’s main role for Pigmenta HQ is to assist in teaching incoming students the Fundamentals Permanent Makeup Course PMU101 at the Pigmenta Academy. She is a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals and participated in the Train the Trainer Class. Most recently she has earned her Instructors Certificate from Softap.
Tiffany Nguyen, Instructor
Tiffany Nguyen comes from a strong art background with an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and has been personally trained by the company owner, Julia Dziuk for the past 3 years. She started out as a student, advanced to the apprenticeship, became the lead procedural assistant, and then became a technician herself.
Tiffany’s main role at Pigmenta HQ is to assist in teaching incoming students the Fundamentals Permanent Makeup Course PMU101 at the Pigmenta Academy.
Tiffany is the Lead Technician at our Pigmenta Worcester Franchise Location, offering a list of services to satisfy all the needs of our clients.
